About The Team
Beth & Kristi represent five generations of interest in and service to the Emporia community. They have grown up in a family that chooses to live in Emporia and strives to keep our town a great place to live. Beth & Kristi also believe that most things in life begin with a strong base. This is why they have made high-quality, reliable service the cornerstone of their business. When The Henrikson Team works for you, they listen to your needs and strive to meet them. "We have grown up in a family of small business owners and have learned some very important lessons from them. No matter what business you're in, you have to be straight-forward, honest and respectful." Ask almost anyone who knows Kristi and they will tell you that she is full of enthusiasm, energy and ideas. She earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a teaching certificate in Curriculum Instruction from the University of Kansas. She then moved to La Honda/Pescadero, CA and worked as the Director of a YMCA Camp for 4 years. Upon moving back to Kansas, Kristi met her husband Tim in Lawrence and they married in 1996. Kristi and Tim then made the choice to move back to Emporia in 1997 to start a business and a family. They have successfully owned and operated Flint Hills Music in downtown Emporia, which services around 50 public schools in the surrounding area. Kristi has been extremely active in the community over the past decade and has served on numerous boards, helping to make Emporia a great place to live. Ask almost anyone who knows Beth and they will tell you that she is creative, energetic and straight-forward. She has had many different experiences in life, which she has synthesized into her business practices today. Her Peace Corps, teaching and traveling experiences took her from Africa to Bulgaria, from Italy to Costa Rica. She has a Master of Arts degree and has dedicated her life to a search for learning and educating. She is interested in culture and language. This interest took her to several different countries and inspired her to learn Spanish and French. Beth is a strong supporter of the arts. She understands the importance of creating and being creative in life. People would say that Beth's approach to real estate is the same as her approach to life--always be learning and educating.
